This quilt features the Harvest Star block - also known as Variable Star or Evening Star - and is striking in black and blue, although as always, it looks great with prints and/or a light background too. The Harvest Star was one of the early blocks well-known to our pioneer ancestors, as well as amongst the Amish and Mennonites.

This pattern is intermediate: it is fairly simple, but basic knowledge of quilting and ability to sew an accurate and consistent 1 / 4 " seam allowance is necessary.
