This quilt pattern is from an antique quilt Ruby saw at the home of one of her Amish friends in Indiana, who said that someone in her family had made it long ago. The original featured a turquoise background, with the squares and triangles in very light pink and medium pink. The inner border was light pink, the outer wide border was in teal (a shade greener than the turquoise). With the two shades of blue/green and the two shades of pink, it was an unusual but striking quilt, and very Amish. See the graphic at the bottom of this page.

We thought it would be equally striking with the typical black background, and some fall colors. Our designer went a little crazy and threw in some blue too!. We hope you like it as much as we do. Pattern is by Green Sheep Designs.

This pattern is intermediate: it is fun and simple, but basic knowledge of quilting and ability to sew an accurate and consistent 1 / 4 " seam allowance is necessary, as well as a little experience matching seams and sewing triangles. (Always watch while working with triangles that you take care not to stretch them.)
