Wrap up in this pretty quilt on a chilly afternoon! The "bow tie" pattern is a very old one, and very common in antique Amish quilts. You may be surprised to find that it is very simple; it is made up of a series of 4 - patch blocks and plain background blocks. It could easily be put together in a Saturday.

We thought it would be fun to use violet and blues against the black, and it is possible to make it using shades of true blues, of reds, greens, browns, whatever you wish. This quilt would be very cute in feedsack prints. This is a Green Sheep Designs pattern.

This pattern is easy intermediate: it is fun and simple, but basic knowledge of quilting and ability to sew an accurate and consistent 1 / 4 " seam allowance is necessary, as always.
